The collar utilizes a polymer matrix that slowly releases Biosfeen® (sphingolipids) onto the pet's neck. Because these lipids are lipophilic (oil-loving), they naturally diffuse through the oils in the stratum corneum (the outermost skin layer) to cover the entire body. This process effectively 'patches' microscopic holes in the skin barrier, locking in moisture and preventing allergens from penetrating.

Atopivet Skin Care Collar for Dogs & Cats Directions:
- Remove the collar from the protective foil pouch.
- Unwind the collar, pull on the tab as shown in the pictogram, and immediately place on the pets neck.
- There should be enough room to slip two fingers between the collar and your pet's neck.
- Lavender fragrance will be strong initially, but will dissipate within 24-48 hours.
- For best results the collar should be worn continuously for 2 months, and can be worn while bathing or swimming.
- This collar is not intended to be used for the purposes of securing a pet to a leash, or any other object.
Use a permanent marker to write the replacement date directly on the inner side of the collar so you know exactly when to swap it out.
